1 in 100 laser treatments go wrong!!!
I was astounded when I saw the stats given by the UK Mirror story on their website (July 22nd, 2008)....
"Around 340,000 laser treatments are currently performed in the UK every year – with an estimated one in every hundred going wrong." >
That completely blows me away. Imagine any other beauty treatment where there is a failure rate that high.
But it's not just like having a bad makeup job, or a bad haircut.
The person quoted in the article had 2nd degree burns after a laser hair removal treatment on her legs and bikini line. That is serious stuff.
There have got to be better ways to remove hair.
And for a clinic to provide nothing better than aloe vera is awful.
That the UK is thinking of relaxing standards rather than improving them is incredible.
